As we gave you some hints and tips for Mother’s Day earlier this year, it’s only fair that we do the same for Father’s Day. Using Retail Assist customers, here are some ideas for spoiling your Dad on the 19th June:

1. Card. Our client Paperchase has lots, ranging from the sentimental to the comical: http://www.paperchase.co.uk/greeting-cards/fathers-day-cards/icat/gcfathersday/

2. Confectionary. These bullseye sweets from Harvey Nichols may bring back childhood memories: http://www.harveynichols.com/food-wine/categories/confectionery-chocolate/boiled-sweets/s279589-bullseye-sweets-113g.html if you’re lucky your Dad may let you pinch a couple as well…

3. Aftershave. If you’re looking for something a little different to the traditional ‘Old Spice’, this Aspen eau de toilette spray from The White Company is an option: http://www.thewhitecompany.com/productdetails.aspx?Id=2002952&ItemNo=ASDTQ

4. Technology. My Dad likes to listen to the Blues at a deafening volume, so this year I will be keeping my gift simple and buying him some new headphones! These Sony MDR-XB500 ones available from Tec7 should allow my mum some peace and quiet:  http://www.tec7.co.uk/Digital+Audio/Headphones/Sony+MDR-XB500+Headphones_MDRXB500.AE/2533.aspx

5. Jewellery. If you really want to treat your Dad this Father’s Day, Selfridges has a great selection of watches: http://www.selfridges.com/en/Features-Gifts/Categories/Fathers-Day/Jewellery-watches/?template=2

6. Something to toast the special occasion. My Dad’s tipple is Whisky so these deals from World Duty Free are tempting: http://www.worlddutyfree.com/for-him/for-him-malt-whisky-offers.html

7. Something to do on the day. One of my earliest memories involves my Dad almost falling out of his chair laughing at the cinematic masterpiece that was ‘Dunston Checks In’. If yours can be trusted out in public, our client Vue has cinemas nationwide: http://www.myvue.com/

8. Clothes. I’ve left this until last, as there’s no way my Dad would let me anywhere near his wardrobe because my choice of outfits consistently baffles him. If yours trusts you, our fashion retailer clients provide plenty of menswear options:
