100 Days Until Christmas – The Research

As the weeks and days until Christmas become less and less, we have turned our attention to the big day. The shops are already stocking Christmas chocolates (we’re partial to the Dairy Milk Mousse Snowman) and the weather is so dull we might as well be in the deepest depths of winter, so really, how could we not? Luckily, we love Christmas. A great time for retail, the festive season holds the promise of bustling high streets, exciting packages and busy restaurants as shoppers take an hours break to get off their feet.

With this in mind, we recently conducted a survey to mark the ‘100 days until Christmas’ milestone – which just so happens to be today! As specialists in the delivery of omnichannel retail, we were especially pleased to see that 57.3% of the 1000 consumers surveyed would be doing their shopping using a mix of visits to the high street and buying online, and that 37.4% were planning to use ‘click and collect’ – taking full advantage of a truly joined up service.
